Bittime - Cybersecurity company Slow Mist issued a warning regarding a phishing operation targeting professionals in the crypto industry. This warning was conveyed by 23pds, Slow Mist's Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), via a post on social media.
According to previous reports, the Lazarus hacking group, which is thought to originate from North Korea, has been contacting targets in the crypto industry via LinkedIn. They launched a phishing attack by posing as representatives of Fenbushi Capital, a well-known crypto asset investment company.

These hackers sent messages to crypto professionals via LinkedIn, offering fake investment opportunities or conference invitations. The message may contain malicious links or attached files embedded with malware.
If clicked, the link or file can infiltrate a victim's device and steal sensitive data, such as login credentials or financial information.
