ZKPEPE Moves to Decision and Changes Name to ARBPEPE!

Bittime - Meme coin ZKPEPE built on the zkSync announced its migration to Arbitrum and name change to ARBPEPE. Apart from migration, the ZKPEPE team will also airdrop ARBPEPE tokens to ZKPEPE and ARB holders.

Reasons for Migration to Arbitrum

This migration decision was taken based on several considerations by the ZKPEPE community. The high gas fee in zkSync caused activity in the ecosystem to decline. To overcome this, ZKPEPE airdropped 90% of the total supply to 1.5 million active zkSync users.

ZKPEPE's efforts succeeded in increasing activity and generating substantial gas revenues for zkSync. However, ZKPEPE actually faced challenges from SyncSwap, a popular DEX on zkSync. SyncSwap refuses to put ZKPEPE on the DEX, even though ZKPEPE is the most popular meme coin in the ZKsync ecosystem.

Additionally, SyncSwap's internal team allegedly launched several shitcoins that benefited, while ZKPEPE did not receive similar support. This made the ZKPEPE community feel disadvantaged and urged the team to move to another ecosystem.
