Bittime - The promotion of a memecoin called "Jenner" by Caitlyn Jenner's social media account on Pump.fun raises questions. This article discusses the chronology of events, public reactions, and existing facts to help readers understand the situation.
Caitlyn Jenner, former Olympic athlete and social media personality, has recently become a hot topic of conversation. Her social media accounts were seen promoting a memecoin (meme-based cryptocurrency) called "Jenner" which was launched via the Pump.fun platform. The authenticity of this promotion has sparked speculation and public debate, considering that there has been no official confirmation regarding the potential hacking of Jenner's social media accounts.
"Jenner" Memecoin Promotion and Hacking Denial
On Sunday, Jenner's social media account started the controversy by sharing a link to the memecoin. The post was accompanied by the caption, "Let's win together! Send some of your favorite memes here."

Responding to hacking rumors, the account then issued a series of tweets stating it had not been hacked. This was followed by a Twitter Space session that sparked more questions. Although the session appeared to involve Jenner's account, the presence of another account claimed to belong to Jenner's manager also confused the public. The account claiming to be Jenner's manager was seen responding to the question with the sentence, "I'm playing golf."
The "Proof" Video and Public Doubts Against Jenner
Efforts to prove this continued with the video uploaded to Jenner's social media account. The video features someone who appears to be Jenner, stating, "A lot happened today, and yes, crypto is real, my account is real."

However, the video actually strengthened public doubts. Many social media users suspect the authenticity of these videos and accounts. Some parties speculate that the video was manipulated using artificial intelligence ( AI ). Instead of de-escalating the situation, those who control Jenner's social media accounts uploaded two more videos. The latest video features a speaker claiming to be Jenner and her manager, Sophia Hutchinson. Both insisted that the memecoin promotional tweet was not the result of a hack.
Links to Rapper Rich the Kid's Account and Hacking Predictions
Interestingly, American rapper Rich the Kid's social media account was seen carrying out similar actions to Jenner's on Sunday. However, Rich the Kid's account has now been deactivated.
This incident also sparked speculation regarding the potential connection between the two accounts. A social media user with the account @CodeXBT wrote, "Jenner's and Rich the Kid's tokens are connected and both were deactivated by the same wallet that Jenner just requested donations from. With all the hacking going on, I wouldn't believe today's tweet."
Meanwhile, the Polymarket prediction platform also enlivened the situation by providing bets regarding the hacking of Jenner's social media accounts. Interestingly, only about 7% of users predicted that the account had been hacked.
Promotion on Instagram and Support for Trump
Amid hack speculation, Jenner's Instagram account was seen promoting a memecoin link on Pump.fun, seemingly confirming the initial promotion on other social media.
Furthermore, the first tweet promoting the memecoin was accompanied by a picture of Jenner with former United States President and Republican candidate, Donald Trump. It is known that Trump recently expressed his strong support for crypto as part of his political campaign.
