Bittime - EigenLayer, a popular Ethereum re-staking protocol with a TVL approaching $16 billion, will launch their native token, EIGEN, on May 10th.

Previously, the project had published a token whitepaper on GitHub and opened a claims portal on their website.
Please note that residents of the United States and Canada are not eligible to claim EIGEN.
The Eigen Foundation explained that it has implemented proxy and VPN detection and blocking controls to prevent claims from residents in restricted areas.

Fundamental Analysis of EigenLayer Token (EIGEN)
A total of 45% of the total 1.67 billion EIGEN tokens were allocated to community initiatives, 29.5% to investors, and 25.5% to contributors, as reported by The Block.
Token distribution to investors and teams will be carried out in stages over two years after a one year waiting period.
The Foundation allocated 15% of the total EIGEN tokens for the airdrop program. 5% of these tokens can be claimed on May 10, while the rest will be used for future incentives.
It is worth noting that only direct restakers and users participating via Liquid Retaking Token (LRT), such as eETH EtherFi and ezETH Renzo, are eligible for this initial claim.
