Consensys opposes the SEC's latest move indicating the possibility of valuing Ethereum as a security. On April 10, Wells notified the company that the SEC planned to enforce securities laws against Consensys for its MetaMask wallet product.
Consensys maintains that MetaMask only functions as an interface and does not monitor customer assets or transactions; they rejected claims that they functioned as brokers.
