Kelp DAO Receives Grant Funding to Increase $rsETH Opportunities in DeFi

Bittime - Kelp DAO, a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), announced their success in securing LTIPP grant funding from Arbitrum. These grant funds will be used to strengthen the $rsETH token, Kelp DAO's native token, in the Arbitrum ecosystem.

Grant Funds to Build the Arbitrum Community

Kelp DAO received grant funding of 250,000 ARB. They plan to use the funds for various initiatives aimed at building the Arbitrum community, including:

• Incentive Program for Bridging $rsETH: Kelp DAO will offer a rebate for users who bridge the crypto asset $rsETH to the Arbitrum network.
• Encouraging $rsETH Staking on Arbitrum: Kelp DAO will seek to increase $rsETH staking participation directly on the Arbitrum network.
• Expanding the Utility of $rsETH in DeFi: Kelp DAO will explore opportunities to increase the use of $rsETH in DeFi on Arbitrum.

Through this initiative, Kelp DAO is demonstrating their commitment to creating a smoother and more efficient restaking experience on the Arbitrum network. Restaking is a process where users lock their crypto tokens to get rewards.

Community Support and Transparency

The decision to accept LTIPP grant funding from Arbitrum was approved by the Kelp DAO community through a voting process on Snapshot.org. The total number of votes in favor of the proposal reached $ARB 144 million.
