Alleged Hacking of Meson Finance Twitter Account and Spreading Phishing Airdrop Link

Bittime - The Twitter account of Meson Finance, a cross-chain bridge platform, was allegedly hacked and used to spread phishing airdrop links . 

It is suspected that hackers exploited a security gap in a third-party service (Third-Party API) connected to the Meson Finance Twitter account. As a security measure, Meson Finance has closed the comments section on their pinned tweets.

Meson Finance was aware of the hack and swiftly removed suspicious content. They confirmed that this hack came from a compromised third-party API, not a direct attack on their Twitter account.

As an additional security measure, Meson Finance allegedly disabled the comments section on the tweets they pinned. This aims to prevent further spread of misleading information.

Situation Returns to Normal

Meson Finance stated that the situation has now returned to normal. They apologize for the inconvenience caused and hope for understanding and support from their users.
