Bittime - GnosisDAO has just launched a new proposal aimed at strengthening Gnosis' position in the Web3 infrastructure space. This proposal focuses on investing in HOPR to build GnosisVPN, aprivate and decentralized VPN service. The voting period for this proposal will close on April 23th.

The full title of this proposal is "GIP-98: Should GnosisDAO Invest in HOPR to Start GnosisVPN Development?” improved user experience (UX).

Investing in the Future of GnosisVPN
This proof-of-concept library and browser extension will be supported by an investment of $1.5 million. The funds will be the foundation for the development of GnosisVPN, a decentralized VPN service designed specifically for Web3 users.
The scalability and user experience improvements required to bridge the two versions will be the subject of a follow-up proposal, depending on the successful completion of the development targets in this proposal.
HOPR Token with Discount
In addition to product development, GnosisDAO will also accept HOPR tokens at a 30% discount based on the time-weighted average (TWAP) of $HOPR for the 90 days ending on the day of proposal approval. This discount is provided in exchange for a $1.5 million GnosisDAO investment.
