Bittime - Bitcoin (BTC) and ether (ETH) enter the new trading week with minimal movement, while many major financial centers are still off for the long Easter weekend.
Stability of Bitcoin and Ether
Currently, Bitcoin remains stable at $70,000 level, while Ether is trading near $3600, according to data from CoinDesk Indices.
CoinDesk 20 (CD20), which is the largest and most liquid measure of digital assets, is up 1.9%, trading at 2,750.

Bitcoin Volatility Analysis and Halving Events
Jun-Young Heo, a derivatives trader at Presto Labs, noted that last week Bitcoin and Ether showed relatively calm movements compared to previous weeks in March. Their weekly realized volatility even fell below 50%.
However, with the Bitcoin halving event scheduled for around April 20, front month option volatility remains high at above 75%.
Funding rates continued to rise, with most large-cap futures contracts recording funding rates of 6bps to 8bps.
Additionally, global open interest for Bitcoin and Ether perpetual futures contracts reached 35 billion dollars. In the view of experts, the market may return to a more volatile regime as time goes by.

According to QCP Capital, Bitcoin rallied ahead of the long weekend due to positive inflows in Bitcoin ETFs, which reached $243.5 million on March 27.
Data from Coinglass shows that these inflows continued on March 28, with an additional $182 million in inflows.
Thus, the crypto market experiences temporary stability before facing important events such as the Bitcoin halving, but remains under the intense attention of market players.
