Get to know Gala: Blockchain and NFT Gaming Platform
Gala is a comprehensive gaming and NFT platform, operating on the Ethereum and BSC networks. The platform offers a blockchain gaming ecosystem, not only allowing users to play games, but also to trade NFTs and participate in network governance.
The Gala ecosystem consists of two main components: Gala Store and Gala Games. Gala Store allows users to use GALA tokens to purchase in-game items and NFTs, while Gala Games offers a platform to access a variety of blockchain game titles, including their flagship game, Town Star.
The heart of the Gala network is the Triple Proof Node System, which uses a hybrid consensus mechanism combining Proof-of-Work (PoW), Proof-of-Stake (PoS), and Proof-of-Storage.
This system operates through three types of nodes: Founder nodes, Paid nodes, and Free nodes.

The GALA token plays an important role in various platform functions. These tokens serve as in-game currency for purchasing items and NFTs on the Gala Store, and can also be earned by playing games on the platform.
Additionally, GALA tokens are distributed as rewards to node operators on the network, thereby encouraging them to maintain and run the Gala network.
Governance in the Gala ecosystem is exclusive to Founder node operators. They have a say in determining new game additions and other network proposals.
What is a Hackathon?
A hackathon, also known as a codefest, is a social event that brings together programmers and people interested in the world of programming to jointly develop or improve software programs.
The term hackathon comes from a combination of the words "hacker" which means intelligent programmer, and "marathon" which is a long-distance running race. The concept of hackathons, also called hack days or hack fests, was born from the open source community.
The first recorded hackathon event was the OpenBSD Hackathon in Calgary, Canada, on June 4, 1999.
Types of Hackathons

The following are the types of hackathons that are commonly held:
