Optimism (OP) Penetrates New ATH, All OP Holders Profitable!

One of the factors driving the OP price increase is the high demand from users and developers who want to take advantage of Optimism's services. According to data from L2Beat, a site that tracks L2 metrics, Optimism has a total locked value (TVL) of $1.1 billion or Rp 17.3 trillion, with 97 protocols integrated with its network.

Some well-known protocols that use Optimism include Synthetix (SNX), a decentralized derivatives platform, Uniswap (UNI), a decentralized token exchange, and Velodrome (VELO), a decentralized liquidity platform.

OP Shares Free Tokens to Users 

Another factor contributing to OP's price increase was the free token airdrop conducted by Optimism on May 31, 2022. The airdrop is part of the Retroactive Public Goods Funding (RPGF) program that aims to reward users and developers who have contributed to the Optimism ecosystem.

Optimism distributes about 10% of OP's total supply, or about 100 million tokens, to 1.06 million addresses that meet certain criteria, such as making transactions on Optimism, using protocols integrated with Optimism, or participating in the Optimism community.

This airdrop is considered one of the fairest and most inclusive in crypto history, as it does not distinguish between early or end users, large or small, or active or passive. Each eligible address gets the same amount of tokens, which is about 94 OP, which is equivalent to $426 or Rp 6.7 million at the time of airdrop.
