Traditional cloud storage providers profit from economies of scale by operating large, efficient data centers capable of storing vast amounts of user data at a low cost per unit.
Storj Decentralized Cloud Storage

Distribution of Storage

Storage nodes vary from individual computers with idle disk space to dedicated setups optimized for profitability, with each node earning rewards in Storj tokens based on the amount and quality of storage space provided. This process is known as storage mining.
