Orbit Chain, a crypto company, is facing a cybersecurity crisis after suffering a costly cyber attack late last year. In an effort to address the issue and recover stolen assets, the company announced bold actions, including providing an $8 million reward to anyone who can help uncover the identity of the hackers.
Cyber Attacks Are Harmful
On December 31, Orbit Chain fell victim to a cyberattack that resulted in the loss of a large amount of cryptocurrency.
This attack also caused unauthorized transactions on the Ethereum L1 platform involving assets such as DAI, ETH, and WBTC. This incident rocked the company and triggered strict measures.
Active Recovery Efforts
Orbit Chain immediately began efforts to identify the hackers and retrieve the lost assets. They also asked major crypto exchanges to freeze the stolen assets so that hackers could not move them.
The company emphasized that it would not negotiate with the hackers and would act quickly.
Great Prize for Information
In an effort to uncover the identity of the hackers and recover its assets, Orbit Chain announced a huge reward of $8 million. The deadline for negotiations with the hackers ends on January 11, and the reward will be distributed to the public.
Orbit Chain hopes to gain support from individuals and the global community to address this issue. Cooperation with Security Authorities
Orbit Chain also collaborates with the Korean National Police Agency and KISA (Korea Internet & Security Agency) to develop an efficient investigation system. They also coordinated with domestic and foreign law enforcement agencies to take action against the attackers.
This situation shows that Orbit Chain is serious about dealing with cybersecurity threats and is ready to do everything necessary to secure its digital assets and expose hackers.
