A Position Experience Coupon allows eligible users to open an experience position in selected Bittime USDT-margined perpetual futures without using or locking any of their own funds. No funds in the user's account are used to open or maintain the experience position, and losses or related fees arising from that experience position are never deducted from the user's own funds.
Each coupon has its own position value, supported trading pairs, leverage, usage requirements, expiration time, and maximum holding period. Please review the details shown on your coupon before using it.
The position value shown on the coupon is the value assigned to the experience position. It is not a USDT balance credited to your account and cannot itself be withdrawn. Only a positive net profit generated by the experience position may be credited after settlement.
The protection described in this article applies only to an experience position opened directly with a valid Position Experience Coupon and clearly identified as an Experience Position. It does not apply to a regular futures position opened with your own funds.
What Is the Purpose of the Coupon?
The coupon is intended as an educational product experience. It helps eligible users become familiar with selected USDT-margined perpetual futures mechanics, including Long and Short directions, market orders, fixed leverage, profit-and-loss changes, funding fees, position duration, and liquidation.
Using a coupon does not guarantee a profit or predict the outcome of any future trade. Users should treat it as an opportunity to learn how Futures positions behave before deciding whether Futures trading is appropriate for them.
How Does a Position Experience Coupon Work?
When you use a valid coupon:
- The coupon opens a separate experience position without using, locking, or placing at risk any of your own funds.
- You can choose Long or Short and open the position using a market order.
- The leverage is determined by the coupon and cannot be changed.
- The experience position follows isolated-margin logic and remains separate from your regular futures positions and other experience positions.
- If the position closes with a positive net profit, the full net profit will be credited to your Futures account in USDT after settlement.
- If the position closes without a positive net profit, no loss or related fee will be deducted from your own funds. Your account balance is not reduced as a result of the experience position.
Where Can I Find My Coupon?
Go to:
Campaign > Reward Center > My Welfare > Position Experience Coupon
The page displays the coupon's supported trading pairs, position value, leverage, usage requirements, expiration time, and maximum holding period.
Requirements for Using a Coupon
Requirements vary by coupon and may include:
- Completing the required KYC level;
- Meeting a specified net deposit requirement; and/or
- Meeting a specified Futures trading-volume requirement.
You can use the coupon only after completing all requirements shown in the coupon details. Account restrictions or risk-control checks may also affect availability.
Supported Products and Order Rules
A Position Experience Coupon:
- Can be used only for USDT-margined perpetual futures;
- Can be used only with the trading pairs specified on the coupon;
- Supports both Long and Short positions;
- Supports market orders only; and
- Uses the leverage specified on the coupon, which cannot be adjusted.
Multiple coupons may be used, subject to the conditions of each coupon. Every coupon opens a separate experience position. Experience positions are not merged with one another or with regular futures positions.
Managing and Closing an Experience Position
An experience position can be closed manually in full using a market order. You cannot increase or partially close the position, add margin, or change its leverage.
Each coupon specifies a maximum holding period. If the position remains open when that period ends, the system will close the entire position automatically at the applicable market price. The position may also be liquidated before then if it reaches the liquidation threshold.
Whether an experience position is closed manually, closed automatically at the end of its holding period, or liquidated, any loss arising from that experience position will not be deducted from your own funds. The experience position does not use your funds as margin and cannot reduce your account balance.
Profit, Fees, and Settlement
Trading fees and funding fees, where applicable, are calculated for the experience position using isolated-position logic to reflect the cost of holding and closing the position.
The settlement result is determined as follows:
- Positive net profit: Realized profit after applicable trading fees and funding fees is credited in full to your Futures account in USDT.
- No positive net profit: No amount is credited, and no loss, trading fee, or funding fee is deducted from your own funds. The experience-position settlement does not reduce your account balance.
Once successfully credited, the USDT profit may be traded or withdrawn in accordance with Bittime's standard account, withdrawal, and risk-control requirements.
Settlement may require processing time. Check the reward or profit status in the coupon details after the position has been closed.
Coupon Expiration and Position Holding Period
These are two separate time limits:
- Coupon validity period: The period in which an unused coupon can be activated. If the coupon is not used before its expiration time, it becomes invalid and cannot open an experience position.
- Maximum position holding period: The maximum time the experience position may remain open after the coupon has been successfully used. When this period ends, the system closes the position automatically at the applicable market price.
Both periods vary by coupon. Always check the coupon details and the remaining holding-time display.
Why Can't I Use My Coupon?
Possible reasons include:
- The coupon has expired;
- The selected USDT-margined perpetual futures pair is not supported by the coupon;
- One or more usage requirements have not been completed;
- The account is not currently eligible to use the coupon; or
- The coupon is otherwise unavailable under the rules shown in its details.
Review the coupon information under Campaign > Reward Center > My Welfare > Position Experience Coupon for the applicable requirements and status.
Important Risk Notice
Before taking any action, confirm that the position is clearly identified as an Experience Position. Only a position opened directly with a valid Position Experience Coupon receives the treatment described in this article. For that experience position, your own funds are not used or locked, and its losses and related fees cannot reduce your account balance.
A regular Bittime Futures position opened with your own funds is separate from an experience position. Your own funds may be used as margin for a regular position and may be lost, including through liquidation. Leverage can magnify both profits and losses, and market prices can change rapidly.
Results from an experience position do not guarantee results from future trading. The educational experience does not remove or reduce the risks of any regular Futures trade you may choose to make later. Always review the applicable product terms, coupon details, and risks before trading.
